A medical connector is provided with a connector body (2) and a lock member (3). The connector body has an insertion section (22) which is inserted into a female connector (9), a protrusion (23), and a section (24) to be pressed which, when moving the lock member in the direction in which the engagement between the connector body and the female connector is released, is pressed in the direction opposite the insertion direction in which the insertion section is inserted into the female connector. The lock member has: a first cover section (31) which has a thread ridge (311) engaging with the thread groove (921) of the female connector a second cover section (32) which covers a part of the connector body a first pressing section (33) which presses the protrusion in the insertion direction and a second pressing section (321) which, when moving the lock member in the direction in which the engagement between the connector body and the female connector is released, presses the section to be pressed, the section to be pressed being pressed in the direction opposite the insertion direction. One of the second pressing section and the section to be pressed has a helically curved surface, and the other is formed so as to be capable of engaging with the helically curved surface.
