PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pearl agent composition which uses a ceramide highly safe for the skins differently from conventional organic pearl agents, exhibits a stable pearl gloss over a long period, when used for cosmetics or the like, and can impart an original barrier function to the skins, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a cosmetic containing the pearl agent composition.SOLUTION: This method for producing the pearl agent composition is characterized by mixing an ester of a polyoxyalkylene polyhydric alcohol such as a polyoxyethylene sorbitol fatty acid ester with an unsaturated or branched chain-having fatty acid with a ceramide and a polyhydric alcohol, heating the mixture to obtain the homogeneously dissolved solution, mixing the solution with heated water or aqueous solvent, cooling the mixture to room temperature to produce the crystals of the ceramide.
