PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keratotic plug regeneration inhibitor capable of effectively controlling the regeneration of a keratotic plug without causing a rough dry skin.SOLUTION: The method for controlling keratotic plug regeneration is characterized by applying to the skin the keratotic plug regeneration inhibitor containing one or two or more selected from a group consisting of lactic acid, succinic acid, citric acid, malic acid, salicylic acid, pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, glycolic acid, and salts thereof, after applying to the skin a skin cleaning agent containing a polyoxyethylene fatty acid ester.
