PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic apparatus in which color unevenness of a picked-up image can be reduced without impairing the degree of freedom in selecting a material of a phosphor.SOLUTION: The endoscopic apparatus includes: a light source LD2 for emitting light to be supplied to a distal end 33 of an endoscope 11 an optical fiber 55 for guiding the light emitted from the light source LD2 to the distal end 33 of the endoscope 11 a phosphor 59 provided on the light emitting end of the optical fiber 55 a light source control section 49 for pulse-driving the light source LD2 and a light sensor 72 for sensing the fluorescence emitted from the phosphor 59.
