Disclosed is a plant cultivation apparatus comprising: a plant accommodation unit filled with particle-type culture mediums, and having roots of a plant located therein； a nutrient solution induction unit connected to the plant accommodation unit, supplying nutrient solutions to the inside of the plant accommodation unit, and discharging the nutrient solutions from the inside of the plant accommodation unit； a detection unit located inside the plant accommodation unit, sensing the mediums inside the plant accommodation unit, and measuring the moisture content of the mediums； and an induction control unit for controlling the nutrient solution induction unit according to the moisture content of the mediums measured by the detection unit inside the plant accommodation unit. The induction control unit controls the nutrient solution induction unit to supply the nutrient solutions to the inside of the plant accommodation unit when the moisture content of the mediums, which is less than a predetermined lower limit amount, is measured by the detection unit. The induction control unit controls the nutrient solution induction unit to supply the nutrient solutions to the inside of the plant accommodation unit and to open an opening and closing unit when the moisture content of the mediums having a predetermined upper limit or higher is measured by the detection unit.
