The present invention provides a plant cultivation apparatus of a multilayer structure comprising: nutrient solution containers built in chambers which can be stacked in multistages trays placed on the nutrient solution containers and having ports for cultivating plants LED lights installed above the trays and a nutrient solution circulator for circulating a nutrient solution to the nutrient solution containers. Light emitting units are formed on one side surfaces of the nutrient solution containers, and light receiving units are formed on the other side surfaces of the nutrient solution containers. The light receiving units measure the intensity of light irradiated by the light emitting units and a control unit drives the nutrient solution circulator so that the control unit can properly adjust a concentration of the nutrient solution inside the nutrient solution containers by using the measurement value. The plant cultivation apparatus can promote a proper growth of the plants by controlling whether to supply the nutrient solution through measurement of the internal temperature, humidity, and CO_2 concentration of the chambers and the turbidity (an amount of transmitted light) of the nutrient solution of the nutrient solution containers, and can control the internal temperature, humidity, and CO_2 concentration of each chamber by the control unit through measurement of the internal temperature, humidity, and CO_2 concentration of each chamber.
