To provide a water feeding material for cut flower capable of exhibiting a water feeding ability as a water feeding material for cut flower, eliminating risk of water leakage even when being transported in a lateral posture, and washing after transport, and a freshness holding method of cut flower using the same.SOLUTION: A water feeding material 1 for cut flower is configured so that, a water absorbent body 12 formed of a water absorbent polymer having water absorption ability (city water) of equal to or more than 100 times of a self weight is arranged in a non-restricted state in a bag 10 in which at least a surface contacting cut flower is formed of a water permeable membrane 11, the bag 10 is configured so that, the water absorbent polymer in the water absorbent body 12 has a volume capable of absorbing water of equal to or greater than 100 times of the self weight and inflating.
