The present invention discloses a tool (100) which includes a handle (102), an implement (108) having at least one movable component, a joint (110) disposed between the implement and the handle, wherein the joint is configured to allow the implement and the handle to pivot relative to one another. Further, the tool also includes an actuator (111) configured to actuate the at least one movable component of the implement, and a transmission (118) coupled with and located between the actuator and the at least one movable component, wherein components of the transmission are configured to multiply an initial actuating force (F1) from the actuator to obtain a final actuating force (F2). Moreover, the transmission is configured such that the multiplication factor applied to the initial actuating force by the components of the transmission located in a region of the tool between but not including the joint and the at least one movable component of the implement is greater than the multiplication factor resulting from the other components of the transmission.
