PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implant body, a method of manufacturing the same, and a dental implant having good biocompatibility and a high degree of bone attachment.SOLUTION: The implant body 2 to be stabilized in contact with a bone comprises a base material 2a formed of zirconia, and a surface layer 2b that is softer than the base material 2a and formed on the surface of the base material 2a. More specifically, the implant body not only is superior in mechanical strength because of the base material 2a formed of zirconia, but also functions as a buffer layer wherein the soft and flexible surface layer 2b eases the difference in the degree of hardness between the bone and the base material 2a.
