Provided are an implant body, a method of manufacturing the same, and a dental implant said implant body having good biocompatibility and a high degree of bone attachment. An implant body (2) is stabilized so as to come in contact with the bone, said implant body (2) comprising a base material (2a) formed of zirconia, and a surface layer (2b) that is softer than the base material (2a) and formed on the surface of the base material (2a). More specifically, the implant body is not only superior in mechanical strength due to the base material (2a) being formed of zirconia, but also the soft and flexible surface layer (2b) functions as a buffer layer to ease the difference in the degree of hardness between the bone and the base material (2a). The soft surface also improves the adhesion of the implant body (2a) to the bone.
