PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform work for threshing sample unhulled rice from a single ear.SOLUTION: A single ear thresher 1 includes: a recessed lower tray body 2 an upper lid body 3 having an outer peripheral edge 3A superposed on an outer peripheral edge 2A of the lower tray body 2 and a connection part 4 openably/closably connecting the upper lid body 3 to the lower tray body 2. The superposed outer peripheral edges 2A and 3A of the lower tray body 2 and the upper lid body 3 are served as a whittling part.
