PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for retrieving organism information in which the information about organisms accurately and easily produced at a prescribed location is likely to occur and improvement in the operating efficiency is devised to provide a method for retrieving the organism information to provide a program for retrieving the organism information and to provide electronic equipment and a database server that constitute the system for retrieving organism information.SOLUTION: The electronic equipment is equipped with a detection sensor, a retrieval means and a display part. The detection sensor detects environmental information that represents the environmental states around the electronic equipment. The retrieval means retrieves the organism environmental information, on the basis of the environmental information obtained by detection with the detection sensor from the database, comprising the stored organism information correlating organism specifying information for specifying the organisms with the organism environmental information that represents the living environment of the organisms using the system for retrieving the organism information and acquires the retrieval results comprising the organism specifying information that corresponds to the organism environmental information.
