PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent liquid leakage through perforations while being divided into a desired size by the perforations.
SOLUTION: A liquid permeable top sheet 1 and a liquid impermeable back sheet 2 are superposedly provided, a plurality of absorbent bodies 3 are juxtaposed between the top sheet 1 and the back sheet 2 at a spaced interval in a direction orthogonally crossing the thickness direction of the article, the top sheet 1 and the back sheet 2 are joined together continuously surrounding the circumferences of the respective absorbent bodies 3 to define the respective absorbent bodies 3, perforations 10 are formed along the joining parts 4 between the compartments, each compartment is cut off from other compartments by cutting the perforations 10, and an adhesive material layer 20 is provided on the outer face of the liquid impermeable back sheet 2 so as to close at least all the holes of the perforations 10.
