PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article preventing a user from having stuffy and sticky feeling when wearing it for a long period of time for absorbing a little amount of body fluid such as vaginal discharge and to provide a leakproof sheet used for the same.
SOLUTION: A leakproof sheet includes a permeable layer capable of permeating liquid, and a leakproof layer having liquid impermeability or liquid-permeation-retardant property, and as a whole, has moisture permeability. The leakproof sheet consists of a porous film having multiple micropores, and the size of the micropores in the permeable layer is defined to be larger than the size of the micropores in the leakproof layer. Alternatively, the number of the micropores in the permeable layer is defined more than the number of the micropores in the leakproof layer. This absorbent article has the leakproof sheet and the leakproof sheet is so disposed that the permeable layer faces the skin of a wearer.
