PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neck stiffness relieving instrument 1 stably applicable to the neck 6 in a position away from the shoulders 7 and applying force almost perpendicularly to the neck 6 as well as pressing so that a ridge 2e of a top part bites into the flesh of the neck 6, and to provide a method for relieving the stiffness of the neck that can obtain an effect of appropriately relieving the stiffness of the neck 6.SOLUTION: The neck stiffness relieving instrument 1 with the top part 2a provided almost vertically is adapted to set a top angle 2b which is an angle between a head side upper inclined surface 2f and a shoulder side upper inclined surface 2g of the top part 2a to 85-95° and to round the angle of the ridge 2e of the top part to a radius of 0.5-2.5 mm. A relieving instrument body 2 and a plurality of raising bases 3 are combined to adjust the height of the neck stiffness relieving instrument 1. The method for relieving the stiffness of the neck is carried out by rolling the neck 6 laterally on the ridge 2e of the top part of the neck stiffness relieving instrument 1.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】肩7から離れた位置において、首6に安定して当てることができる首の凝りほぐし器1であって、首6に対して概略直角に力の作用を働かせ、また、頂上部の稜2eが首6の肉に食い込むように押すことを可能にした首の凝りほぐし器1、及び、適切に首6の凝りをほぐす効果が得られる首の凝りをほぐす方法を提供する。【解決手段】概略垂直に設けた頂上部2aを有する首の凝りほぐし器1とし、頂上部2aの頭側上斜面2fと肩側上斜面2gとの間の角度である頂上角2bを85~95度とし、頂上部の稜2eの角を半径0.5~2.5mmに丸める。またほぐし器本体2と複数のかさ上げ台3とを組み合わせることにより、首の凝りほぐし器1の高さを調節可能に構成する。さらに、首の凝りほぐし器1の頂上部の稜2eの上で首6を左右に転がすことにより、首の凝りをほぐす方法とする。【選択図】図1
