The invention relates to a cabin for steam-bathing individuals, into which, during operation, fresh air is fed and from which waste air is discharged and, at least at times, steam and, simultaneously or alternately, foam are fed so that the individuals inside the cabin are bathed simultaneously in steam and in foam. The simultaneous bathing of individuals in steam and in foam provides physical relaxation and cleanses the skin. A method for operating the cabin is also described. The foam is fed into the lower part of the cabin, and the steam is fed into the upper part of the cabin. In a preferred embodiment of the method the foam is fed into the cabin at such a height that the individuals sitting on the seating area of the cabin sit in a carpet of foam.
