The present invention relates to a stabilizing composition of a virus vaccine and a bacterial vaccine and a stabilization method. Vaccines of the present invention include VLPs with stabilizers such as, for example, sugar alcohols (e.g., sorbitol) and degraded gelatine. Preferably, the gelatin has an average molecular weight of 10,000 kD or less. The above vaccines have substantially improved thermal stability as well as long term stability.
