An endoscopy device for facilitating the use of an endoscope, comprising at least one airway tube and a mask carried at one end of the at least one airway rube, the mask having a distal end and a proximal end and a peripheral formation capable of conforming to, and of fitting within, the actual and potential space behind the larynx of the patient so as to form a seal around the circumference of the laryngeal inlet, the peripheral formation surrounding a hollow interior space or lumen of the mask and the at least one airway tube opening into the lumen of the mask, the device further comprising a conduit adapted for passage of an endoscope into the oesophagus of a patient when the mask is in place.L'invention concerne un dispositif d'endoscopie pour faciliter l'utilisation d'un endoscope, lequel dispositif d'endoscopie comprend au moins un tube de voie aérienne et un masque porté à une extrémité du ou des tubes de voie aérienne, le masque ayant une extrémité distale et une extrémité proximale et une formation périphérique apte à se conformer à l'espace réel et potentiel derrière le larynx du patient et de s'adapter à l'intérieur de celui-ci, de façon à former un joint d'étanchéité autour de la circonférence de l'orifice d'entrée laryngée, la formation périphérique entourant un espace intérieur creux ou lumière du masque et le ou les tubes de voie aérienne s'ouvrant dans la lumière du masque, le dispositif comprenant en outre un conduit conçu pour le passage d'un endoscope dans l'oesophage d'un patient lorsque le masque est en place.
