PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image processing method capable of easily erasing unnecessary data portions in image data.
SOLUTION: This image processor includes: an image data generation section 31 for generating three-dimensional image data from image data acquired from an X-ray CT apparatus 20 a whole region extraction section 33 sequentially extracting a pixel of a start point specified on the three-dimensional image data, and pixels adjoining with the pixel and within a preset pixel value a completion stage setting section 35 for setting a completion stage of a region corresponding to the completion stage set by the completion stage setting section 35 in the whole region extracted by the whole region extraction section 33 and a processing section 32 for processing the three-dimensional image data, wherein the processing section 32 executes a process for erasing the extraction region corresponding to the completion stage set by the completion stage setting section 35 or a region outside the extraction region.
