The agricultural apparatus comprises a hopper being arranged to hold a supply of cultivating material； conveying means for conveying the cultivating material from the hopper； and a distribution arrangement for receiving the cultivating material from the conveying means. The distribution arrangement comprises a distribution manifold being arranged to receive and distribute the cultivating material, a plurality of tines being arranged to form slots in the subsoil layer during use.
