PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in automatic focusing, narrowing allowable range for defocusing may require more time before completion of focusing and widening allowable range may cause deviation of focuses.SOLUTION: An ophthalmic photographing apparatus illuminates the fundus oculus of a subjects eye with one of illumination light of a first wavelength for observation of fundus oculi and illumination light of a second wavelength for photographing of fundus oculi and obtains an image of the fundus oculus by way of focusing means in an observation photographing optical system. A control method for the ophthalmic photographing apparatus comprises: detecting a focusing state between the fundus oculus and imaging means on the basis of an image of a focus index projected to the fundus oculus obtaining a movement distance the focusing means on the basis of the obtained focusing state and the optical path length difference in the observation photographing optical system corresponding to the wavelength difference between the illumination light of the first wavelength and the illumination light of the second wavelength and driving the focusing means along the optical axis direction of the observation photographing optical system, according to the obtained movement distance.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】 自動合焦を行う場合、合焦ずれの許容範囲を狭くすると合焦完了までの時間がかかる可能性があり、広くするとピントずれが発生する可能性がある。【解決手段】 被検眼の眼底の観察用の第一の波長の照明光と眼底の撮影用の第二の波長の照明光とのいずれかにより眼底を照明し、観察撮影光学系において眼底の画像を、合焦手段を介して得る眼科撮影装置の制御に際し、眼底に投影された合焦指標の像に基づいて眼底と撮像手段との合焦状態を検出し、第一の波長の照明光と第二の波長の照明光との波長差に対応する観察撮影光学系における光路長差と検出された合焦状態と、に基づいて合焦手段の移動距離を取得し、取得された移動距離に応じて合焦手段を観察撮影光学系の光軸方向に沿って駆動させる、工程、を配する。【選択図】 図1
