To provide a freeze-drying container which is excellent in cooling efficiency and does not deform when it is cooled, though it can be molded using a blow molding technology.SOLUTION: A freeze-dry container includes: an inner layer containing at least a cyclic polyolefin-based resin； and an intermediate layer containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. The height dimension A of a pinch-off part formed on the bottom surface of the container is 0.5 mm≤A≤1.5 mm, a wall thickness B of the bottom part at the pinch-off part is 0.5 mm≤B≤1.5 mm and also 1.0 mm≤A+B≤2.2 mm. A thickness G of the intermediate layer is 10 μm≤G≤220 μm. When the length dimension of the pinch off part is defined as D, and the dimension (diameter) of the recessed part of the bottom surface is defined as E, a relation of 0.5E<；D<；E is established.
