PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technologies for manufacturing an outer tube for a prefilled syringe with high transparency, manufactured with cyclic olefin resin as a raw material.SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the outer tube for the prefilled syringe molded by injecting a cyclic olefin resin composition, the surface roughness of the core of an injection molding die for molding the outer tube for the prefilled syringe is adjusted in a specific range, and the light transmittance is 70% or higher when the incident light whose wavelength is 450 nm perpendicular to a side wall of the outer tube for the prefilled syringe transmits the side wall.【課題】環状オレフィン樹脂を原料として製造され、高い透明性を有するプレフィルドシリンジ用外筒を製造する技術を提供する。【解決手段】環状オレフィン樹脂組成物を射出成形してなるプレフィルドシリンジ用外筒を製造する方法において、プレフィルドシリンジ用外筒を成形するための、射出成形用金型のコアの表面粗さが特定の範囲に調整し、プレフィルドシリンジ用外筒の側壁に対して垂直に入射する波長４５０ｎｍの光が前記側壁を透過したときの光線透過率が７０％以上であるプレフィルドシリンジ用外筒を製造する。【選択図】図１
