PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair capable of controlling the rotations of wheels even if it moves due to factors other than an operation of a user.SOLUTION: A wheelchair user rotates a left wheel 12a and a right wheel 12b to push a wheelchair 1. Rotational angle sensors 16a, 16b detect the rotation positions of the left wheel 12a and the right wheel 12b. A controller 2 acquires a velocity VL of the left wheel 12a and a velocity VR of the right wheel 12b on the basis of the detected rotation positions. The controller 2 determines whether or not the user rotates the left wheel 12a on the basis of a change in the velocity VL, and whether or not the user rotates the right wheel 12b on the basis of a change in the velocity VR. The controller 2 outputs a control signal according to a result of determination to at least any one of brakes 17a and 17b.
