PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obstacle-crossing auxiliary device having a vehicle body, an auxiliary mechanism and a sensor-driving device.SOLUTION: The auxiliary mechanism is provided on one side of the vehicle body and has a mat on one end thereof. A difference in levels for the vehicle body to cross an obstacle is reduced by inserting the mat between the vehicle body and the obstacle using an adjustment operation and by dividing the levels. The sensor-driving device is connected to the auxiliary mechanism, detects the existence of the obstacle and determines whether or not to drive the auxiliary mechanism in order to generate the adjustment operation.
