PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely implement health management on the pest control of articles on display, and to provide a method for pest control of articles on display without giving a visitor such an adverse effect as an allergic symptom to damage the health of the visitor appreciating the articles on display.SOLUTION: The method for pest control of articles on display includes: storing an article 2 on display such as an oil painting within an air-tight bag-shaped container 1 made of a synthetic resin sheet feeding heated and humidified nitrogen gas from a cylinder 3 filled with nitrogen gas via a heating device 4 and a humidifying device 5 adjusting air inside the container 1 to the atmosphere whose oxygen concentration is 1% or lower by substituting air within the container 1 with nitrogen gas and exterminating such insect pests as Sitophilus zeamais attached to the article 2 on display by suffocating the insect pests under the atmosphere.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】展示物の害虫駆除作業上の衛生管理を確実に行なえるようにし、かつ展示物を鑑賞する来館者にアレルギー症状などの健康を害するような悪影響を与えない展示物の害虫駆除方法にすることである。【解決手段】合成樹脂シートからなる気密性で袋状の容器1内に油絵などの展示物2を収容し、窒素ガス入りのボンベ3から加熱装置4および加湿装置5を経由して加熱および加湿された窒素ガスを供給し、容器1内の空気を窒素ガスで置換して酸素濃度1%以下の雰囲気になるように調整し、この雰囲気下で展示物2に付着しているコクゾウムシなどの害虫を窒息させて駆除するという展示物の害虫駆除方法とする。【選択図】図1
