PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for cultivating a moss plant without using cultivation base such as medium culture, and to provide a moss plant decorating body which uses the moss plant cultivated by the cultivating method, and has flexibility in design and easiness of manufacturing.SOLUTION: Stem and leaf bodies of the moss plant are bundled with a proper binder, and crowded moderately to keep the moisture enough for nurturing to artificially form colonies. The artificial moss colonies 2 are appropriately watered to be cultivated. The single or multiple colonies 2 are attached to a decoration base 3a made of ceramic, stone materials, or wood materials with adhesion or other means to form the moss plant decorating body.【課題】培地等の栽培基盤を使用しない新規なコケ植物の栽培方法及びその栽培方法で栽培するコケ植物を使用した、デザインの自由性並びに製造容易性を備えたコケ植物装飾体を提供する。【解決手段】コケ植物の茎葉体を適宜な結束具で束ねて、生育に必要な水分を保持できる程度に適度に密集させて人工的に群落体（コロニー）を形成し、前記人工の苔群落体２に適宜な給水を施して栽培してなるもので、前記の苔群落体２を単数或いは複数を、陶器、石材、木材等で形成した装飾ベース体３ａに、接着その他の手段で取り付けてコケ植物装飾体を形成した。【選択図】図３
