Centrally lubricated twine knotter for a press with twine binding for which a central lubrication arrangement (10) is provided wherein an independent lubricant receiving and distribution housing (15) is provided the interior of which is connected on one side via a connection line (17) to a lubricant supply or a lubricant delivery means such as a lubricant pump and is directly fluidically connected on the other side by means of lubricant outlet openings (18A 18D) that are connected directly thereto directly to lubricant supply lines (19A 19D) for simultaneous supply of one or all bearings of the twine knotter and wherein the lubricant receiving and distribution housing (15) is docked onto the outside of the knotter frame (12) via attachment means (16).
