PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apron jump-up auxiliary mechanism preventing damage of a gas spring in operation and having a larger degree of freedom in selection of the fitting position of the gas spring and also to provide a tilling work machine provided with the mechanism.SOLUTION: An apron jump-up auxiliary mechanism 40 comprises: a support plate 41 which is attached to a shield cover 22 covering a work rotor of a tilling work machine 1 and extends in a front/rear direction a gas spring 50 whose front side is front/rear-wise movably supported by the support plate 41 and whose rear side is rotatably connected to the support plate 41 a link arm member 60 whose front side is front/rear-wise movably supported, together with the gas spring 50, by the support plate 41, and which extends toward the rear side a link plate 70 which is front/rear-wise rotatable about a fulcrum shaft 45 provided on the support plate 41 and an apron side connection member 75 whose upper side is rotatably connected to the link plate 70 and whose lower side is connected to an apron 25 rotatably provided at a rear end part of the shield cover 22.
