The main objective of the present invention is to provide: a water absorbent resin having excellent general absorption performance as a water absorbent resin, an adequate particle size and a high particle strength as well as having excellent fiber tenacity and high fluidity as a powder, as properties suitable for a water absorbent for use in a hygienic material and a method for producing the same. The objective of the present invention is also to provide an absorber and an absorbent article using the water absorbent resin.
