Anti-CD19 antibodies comprising a CD19 binding molecule, eg, an antibody fragment such as a single chain fragment, and chimeric receptors, eg, chimeric antigen receptors (CAR), comprising said antibody are provided. The antibodies include human antibodies, including those that compete with a reference antibody such as a mouse antibody for binding to CD19. In some embodiments, the antibody exhibits functional properties similar to the reference antibody, eg, equivalent binding affinity and / or competitive inhibition properties.
