PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper capable of obtaining a comfortable wearing feeling without excessively extending an extensible material and capable of being easily manufactured.SOLUTION: The disposable diaper 1 includes an extensible portion 80 formed so as to extend and shrink a rear cover portion 6 in a ones girth direction, a gather forming sheet 82 arranged at a position overlapped with the extensible portion 80 and covering the extensible portion 80 to form gathers, and a fastening tape 11 added with a fastening material 48 and fastening the rear cover portion 6 to a front cover portion 2.
