PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for liquid which is detachably mounted to a liquid consumption device and is intended to supply liquid toward the liquid consumption device, and which can be inexpensively manufactured by using a simple structure, and which further with increased reliability prevents an interior of the liquid consumption device from being contaminated by liquid leaking from an air inlet port.SOLUTION: A liquid collecting chamber 106 is formed outside an air inlet port 105 of a container body 80. Accordingly, when liquid leaks from the air inlet port 105, the leaking liquid can be received by the liquid collecting chamber 106, and therefore the liquid leaked from the air inlet port 105 is prevented from arriving at an exterior surface of the container body 80 or from reaching internal equipment of a liquid consumption device.
