PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic agent and a therapeutic method of genetic diseases associated with type II diabetes mellitus.SOLUTION: A composition contains a little amount of genetically normal cultured myoblasts which supply a complete genome of a host and a blood serum of the host. The composition consists of the cultured myoblasts which have histocompatibility with the host and is derived from a donor muscle biopsy acquired from the host before the myopathy, or the cultured myoblasts which have no histocompatibility with the host and is derived from a donor selected from genetically normal groups including, but particularly not limited to, host's father or brothers. The composition is administered at a dose of about 50 billion cells of the cultured myoblasts for treatment of muscular dystrophy, about 1 billion cells of the cultured myoblasts for treatment cardiomyopathy, and about 50 billion cells of the cultured myoblasts for treatment of type II diabetes mellitus; and the dose concerned is about 100 million cells/mL solution of the blood serum of the host.【課題】II型糖尿病に関する遺伝病の治療薬、治療方法の提供。【解決手段】ホストの完全なゲノムを供給する遺伝的に正常な少量の培養筋芽細胞及びホストの血清を含有する組成物。培養筋芽細胞は、ホストと組織適合性があり、筋障害前にホストから取得されたドナー筋肉生検であるか、培養筋芽細胞が、ホストと組織不適合であり、特に限定されないがホストの父又は男兄弟を含む遺伝的に正常な群から選択されるドナーに由来する培養筋芽細胞からなる組成物。培養筋芽細胞の用量が、筋ジストロフィー治療用で約500億細胞、心筋症治療用で約10億細胞、およびII型糖尿病治療用で約500億細胞であって、当該用量がホスト血清の約1億細胞/ml溶液で投与される組成物。【選択図】なし
