A beating device for the harvesting of fruits from fruit trees has a pair of beating members (5, 6), which are movable between an open position and a closed position under the thrust of an actuating cylinder (7； 57) and are defined by respective rocker arms (33, 34), one of which has an intermediate point hinged to an output rod (13) of the actuating cylinder (7； 57), and a first arm (36) connected to a containment jacket (8) of the actuating cylinder (7； 57) itself by means of a first rod linkage (37) and the other has an intermediate point connected to the containment jacket (8) through a second rod linkage (38) and a first arm (39) hinged to the output rod (13).
