A new antimicrobial tissue bonding formulation which can be used to form a wound closure adhesive comprises monomeric cyanoacrylate, dispersants and nano silver particles. The nano-silver in the formulation will not cause premature polymerization of the cyanoacrylate. It won’t have detrimental effect to the mechanical strength and bonding strength, or interfere with the polymerization reaction of the cyanoacrylate monomer.
