The invention discloses that anti-Myeloid Inhibitory C-type Lectin-like receptor (MICL) antibodies play a role in rheumatoid disease and arthropathies, and provides inter alia methods and materials for assessing, diagnosing or prognosing Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) in an individual, which methods comprise (i) providing a sample from said individual (ii) determining the presence of absence or anti- MICL antibodies in the sample (iii) correlating the presence of anti-MICL antibodies in the sample with the presence or severity of the RA in the individual. The invention further provides related kits and therapeutic strategies.Linvention repose sur la découverte que les anticorps anti-récepteurs de type lectine de type C inhibiteurs myéloïdes (MICL) jouent un rôle dans une maladie rhumatoïde et des arthropathies, et concerne, entre autres, des procédés et des matériaux permettant dévaluer, de diagnostiquer ou de pronostiquer la polyarthrite rhumatoïde (PR) chez un individu. Les procédés comprennent : (i) la fourniture dun échantillon provenant dudit individu (ii) la détermination de la présence ou de labsence des anticorps anti-MICL dans léchantillon (iii) la mise en corrélation de la présence danticorps anti-MICL dans léchantillon avec la présence ou la gravité de la PR chez lindividu. Linvention concerne en outre des kits et des stratégies thérapeutiques connexes.
