PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus in which the dusting is uniformly performed over the entire surface of a dusting opening.SOLUTION: A dusting method is provided for dusting of powder to a dusting object positioned downward. A hollow rotating body 15 with a communication port 29 for bringing an inner space 31 into communication with an outer space 33 is rotatably provided in a hopper 5 with a dusting opening 11 in the lower side. The powder 13 in the inner space 31 and outer space 33 is transferred to the dusting opening 11 by the rotation of the hollow rotating body 15.
