PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food cutter capable of making respective cutting surfaces of food uniform by making respective tensions uniform at portions where steel wires are parallelized.SOLUTION: A wire unit 15 is rotatably attached to a base 11 including a pedestal 13 where food 100 is placed. The wire unit 15 includes: one steel wire 21 having one end supported pivotally on the base 11 by bearing parts 14a and 14b to be rotatable, and disposed to meander so as to form a plurality of folded parts； and tension adjusting members 23a and 23b for adjusting tension of the steel wire 21. The wire unit 15 separates and cuts the food 100 on the pedestal 13 into a plurality of sliced pieces by each part of the steel wire 21 according to its rotation.
