A system (100) for adjusting the conveyor belt tension force within an agricultural harvester (10) may include a conveyor (50) having a first roller (76), a second roller (78) spaced apart from the first roller, and a conveyor belt (74) configured to engage the first and second rollers (76, 78). The system (100) may also include a tensioner assembly (101) having a ratcheting mechanism (142) configured to selectively adjust a position of the first roller (76) relative to the second roller (78) to adjust a tension force exerted on the conveyor belt (74).
