PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air blowing device capable of diffusing ions efficiently into a living space by using an ion generator having no air blowing function regardless whether or not an air conditioner and the like disposed at a wall and the like is operated, and to provide a method for using the air blowing device.SOLUTION: An air blowing device 1 includes a casing 2 having two inflow ports 3, 4 enabling the inflow of air and an outflow port 5 enabling the outflow of the air. In the casing 2, a ventilation passage 6 connecting the two inflow ports 3, 4 and the outflow port 5 is provided, and a fan 7 having a blowing direction from one inflow port 4 out of the two inflow ports to the outflow port 5 is disposed at the ventilation passage 6. The other inflow port 3 faces a blowing port 11a of an air conditioner 11 disposed at the wall.
