The invention relates to a support orthosis to mitigate Drop Foot in a patient. The support orthosis comprises a foot plate to be positioned under the sole of the foot and a support device to be attached to the lower leg of a patient, where the foot plate and the support device are connected by at least one connection element comprising a joint, around which joint a part of the connection element may be moved in relation to another part of the connection element. The support device is designed to be positioned at the front of the patient's tibia, and the foot plate is flexible with pivotable toe and heel parts.
