The invention relates to a capsule closure device forclosing two-piece capsules (20) each having a capsuleupper portion (21) and a capsule lower portion (22).The capsule closure device (1) comprises a capsuleupper portion receiving member (2) and a capsule lowerportion receiving member (3). The capsule upper portionreceiving member (2) has a receiving hole (4) and anintroduction hole (5) which is arranged coaxiallyrelative to the receiving hole (4). The capsule upperportion receiving member (2) has at the inner side (11)thereof between the receiving hole (4) and theintroduction hole (5) a support shoulder (6) forsupporting the capsule upper portion (21). The capsuleupper portion receiving member (2) has at the innerside (11) thereof at the introduction hole (5) at leastone ventilation hole (9).
