The invention relates to an arrangement for (10) for surgically treating an eye (16) comprising a diagnosis device (12) which is designed to record data relating to the structure of the eye. A data processing unit (24) is designed to produce, based on the data relating to the eye and recorded by the diagnosis device (12), a structural image which contains at least one representation of a characteristic eye structure (18, 20) and at least one position marking (26, 28) arranged with respect to the representation of the characteristic eye structure (18, 20). An image data insertion device (32) is designed to insert the structural image produced by the data processing unit (24) into an image produced by a operational microscope (30) during eye surgery (16).
