In a blood purification apparatus equipped with: a blood circuit 1 to which a single puncture needle 3 can be connected； a dialyzer 2 that purifies blood flowing in the blood circuit 1； a first blood pump 5； a second blood pump 6； and a controlling means 17 for circulating the blood of a patient in the blood circuit 1 outside his/her body by alternately driving the first blood pump 5 and the second blood pump 6 in normal rotation.
