ABSTRACT: The invention relates to a berry separator machine for separating berry and cord from pepper corns. The berry separator machine includes a frame, a cylindrical drum and a driving shaft means. The cylindrical drum has an upper part and a lower part. The upper part has an opening for hopper and it is hinged to the lower part. The lower part is fixedly mounted on the frame. A small diameter mesh is provided at the bottom of the drum for collecting the berries and also to remove the dust and other wastes. The apparatus is hand driven and a hand wheel is provided at one end of the driving shaft which is removably engaged with the cylindrical drum such that the hand wheel is removable from the shaft and the shaft is removable from the drum. The apparatus further includes wooden blades which are shaped such that they are operable to guide the berry towards the inner periphery of the cylindrical drum. During the movement of berries in the drum tangential and movable force developed with the frictional force thereby berries are separated from the cord.
