PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article reducing cost by using wood pulp fiber as a material, having excellent absorbing speed, and having little liquid return amount.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 200 includes: a liquid permeable top sheet 202 forming a body contact-side surface a liquid impermeable back sheet 204 a sheet-like absorber 207 disposed between the top sheet and the back sheet and formed by superposing absorber layers 207x and 207y each of which has a water-absorbing resin and an adhesive, and sheet-like support bodies 207a, 207b, and 207c an absorbent core 210 disposed between the sheet-like absorber and the back sheet, and having fluff pulp and a water-absorbing resin and a core wrap sheet 206 for covering the absorbent core. The core wrap sheet consists primarily of pulp, and has a basis weight of 15-45 g/m, an amount of water absorption of 60-230 water-g/m, and water absorbency regulated by old JIS-S3104 method of 25.0 sec/0.1 mL or less.
