Herkömmliche Schnullerketten verhindern zwar das Herabfallen eines Schnullers auf den Boden, jedoch nicht das Herausfallen des Schnullers aus dem Mund des Babys. Kleine Babys sind allerdings noch nicht in der Lage, den Schnuller an der Kette zurück in den Mund zu führen. Die neue Vorrichtung soll dabei helfen, den Schnuller im Mund des Kindes zu belassen, solange dies gewünscht ist. Die Vorrichtung wird am Schnuller rechts und links durch die vorhandenen Belüftungslöcher geführt. Am Kopf des Kindes wird die Vorrichtung um die Ohren herumgeführt. So wird der Verlust des Schnullers verhindert. Die Vorrichtung sollte aufgrund Verträglichkeit und Waschbarkeit aus Naturmaterial, wie z. B. Baumwolle bestehen und in der Größe regulierbar sein, z. B. durch einen Klettverschluss oder einen Druckknopf.
