PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter which can easily change a moving direction to a thin tube (lateral branch) even when an end of the catheter is stuck near an entrance of the thin tube (lateral branch) at a branch point between a thick tube (main branch) and the thin tube (lateral branch).SOLUTION: In a catheter 1, tensile strength of an element wire configuring a blade is greater in a first element wire than a second element wire. Therefore, even in the case that the end of the catheter 1 is stuck near an entrance of a thin tube (lateral branch) at a branch point, when a manipulator rotates the catheter 1 in the same direction as a winding direction of the first element wire, the first element wire functioning as a coil is fastened, a bent part 14 of a catheter shaft 10 can be deformed thin, so that it becomes easy to change a moving direction of the catheter 1 from a thick tube (main branch) to the thin tube (lateral branch).COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】太管(主枝)と細管(側枝)との分岐点において、カテーテルの先端が細管(側枝)の入り口付近に引っ掛かった場合でも、進行方向を細管(側枝)に容易に変更できるカテーテルを提供する。【解決手段】カテーテル1では、ブレードを構成する素線の引張強度が、第一素線の方が第二素線よりも高くなっている。そのため、カテーテル1の先端が分岐点で細管(側枝)の入り口付近に引っ掛かった場合でも、手技者がカテーテル1を第一素線の巻回方向と同じ方向に回転させると、コイルとして機能する第一素線が締まってカテーテルシャフト10の湾曲部14を細く変形させることができ、カテーテル1の進行方向を太管(主枝)から細管(側枝)に変更させることが容易になる。【選択図】図1
