The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for skin whitening containing a cricket extract, more specifically a cosmetic composition for skin whitening containing a a cricket extract as an active component and having a melanin generation suppression and extracellular secretion inhibitory activities. According to the present invention, the cricket extract suppresses the generation of melanin in a melanin generation cell, provides excellent skin whitening activity by inhibiting the extracellular secretion, and is capable of being used in producing functional cosmetics.본 발명은 귀뚜라미 추출물을 함유하는 피부미백용 화장료 조성물에 관한 것으로, 더욱 구체적으로 멜라닌의 생성 억제 및 세포외 분비 저해 활성을 갖는 귀뚜라미 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 피부미백용 화장료 조성물에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따르면, 귀뚜라미 추출물은 멜라닌 생성 세포에서 멜라닌의 생성을 억제하고 세포외 분비를 저해함으로써 우수한 피부미백 활성을 나타내므로, 이러한 목적을 갖는 기능성 화장품의 제조에 이용될 수 있다.
